  • Windows 98SE / Me / 2000 Drivers:
  • Please download the compressed file Drivers DspdCDWE24E.EXE (90kb) to your hard disk drive. When this file is executed, you will be prompted to select a folder to store the decompressed files; we strongly recommend the default 'TEAC CDWE24E DRIVERS'. Once you select the folder, click the Unzip button. Once the files have been decompressed, click the OK and Close buttons to close the Extracting Utility.

Please follow the instructions on the User's Manual section 'Installing the driver software' (page 11). Connect the CDWE24E to a USB connector on your system. When prompted for the location of the drivers, the drivers will not come from your floppy diskette (default option). Please select 'Specify a Location' and point to the 'TEAC CDWE24E DRIVERS' folder. The drivers will install from this folder in your C: drive. Once the drivers are loaded, you will need to restart your system.

Please note that Windows will recognized the drive as a typical CD-ROM drive in 'My Computer'. You, then, need to install the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0 Basic software that came with your TEAC kit for the drive to work as a Rewritable device.
